Mr Ian Gray- Foundation Principal
Greetings to all at Colwill and a special wave to Margaret Mager, my warmly regarded colleague of yesteryear. However this letter is primarily aimed at Sharron Buer, ICT Director.
Sharron I have had great enjoyment browsing through Colwill Courier, 2004. It is a superb record of Colwill staff and students' vitality, skills, imagination and team work. Now twenty years away from that environment I marvel at the richness of experience offered to children today. We thought we were doing well then and we did venture into new approaches, for those days. Computers have added a completely new dimension and I am sure, used wisely, will open doors to stimulating learning for most children. I can see it in the pages of the Courier. Thank you very much for sending the copy.
The 25th Jubilee celebration was a very happy opportunity for Lesley, who was also on the staff of Colwill, and me to meet old colleagues, students and some parents from the beginning days of Colwill. We came away feeling greatly reassured that the familyness, the warmth and caring that we cherished in those early days is still present. Long may it be so- and the school environment is great. Congratulations to the Board of Trustees, PTA, Caretaker and of course staff and students who make it come alive.
