Harakeke Whanau

Welcome to the Harakeke Whanau. Our team is made up of four teachers:

Room 14: Miss Khan and Miss Whitehouse    (Y0-2)

Room 15: Mr Chand   (Y3-5)

Room 16: Mrs Chase  (Y6-8)

Social Science/Science 

This term we are focusing on the topic "New Zealand Past and Present" for Social Sciences. We are also making "erupting volcanoes" for science and finding out what living things survive in a volcanic area.

Tech 

Tech is every Monday for our Y7-8 students at Bruce McLaren Intermediate. We leave school at 8.30am and the roll is taken between 8.15-8.30am. If you are late please sign in at the office. 

Swimming Times

Rooms 16 and 14 swim everyday except Monday.

Room 15 go swimming every Monday,Thursday and Friday.

Swimming is compulsory so every student must bring their togs to school, otherwise a note is required signed by a parent or caregiver. 

Whanau Trip

The Harakeke Whanau will be going to the Historic Howick Village on Wednesday, the 4th of April. We look forward to this special event at the end of TERM 1 and hope our parents/caregivers are available to help us on this date. Please let your child's classroom teacher know if you can support us on the day.
