Location

Colwill School is situated in Massey East, West Auckland near the shores of the Upper Waitemata Harbour. It is very close to the North Western Motorway giving access to Northern and Southern Motorways. Bus services are available within walking distance of the school.

The area is well resourced with local shopping at Royal Heights (Royal Rd) including a Woolworths supermarket, Pharmacy, Dairy, various food outlets (Curry Leaf restaurant (Indian), Pizza Hut, Asian food outlet), Real Estate Agency, Locksmith, Jewellers, Video outlet etc There is also a Medical Centre and Diagnostic Laboratory.

A little further afield at Westgate Shopping Centre (5-10 min drive from the school) a comprehensive range of shops, medical services and other amenities such as the ASB Bank, Massey Leisure Centre and Massey Library can be found.

The school currently contributes to two Secondary Schools; Massey High School (catering for Years 9-13 students), and Rutherford High. Bus services operate from Colwill Road and take in surrounding streets.

The Waitakere ranges are a short distance drive offering a range of bush walks, Cascade Waterfalls, and close proximity to several West Auckland beaches (Piha, Karekare, and Bethells ). A short drive West provides the opportunity to visit wineries in the Huapai, Kumeu area.
